Marketing is a concept English, translated into Castilian as marketing or marketing. This is the discipline dedicated to analyzing the behavior of markets and consumers. Marketing analyzes the commercial management of the companies in order to attract, retain and build customer loyalty through satisfaction of their needs.
For example: “We will hire a marketing expert to help us in the company” , “Lower prices during the World Cup was a great marketing strategy”,”I’m reading a new book of marketing”.
Marketers often focus their activities in all the Four Ps : Product, Price, Place (distribution) and Advertising (Promotion). Marketing appeals to different techniques and methodologies with the intention of conquering the market and achieve other objectives of a trading company.
What makes marketing is considered a necessity of customers and, from it, design, implement and verify how the marketing ofproducts or services of the company. Various strategies and tools allow the marketing position a brand or product in the mind of the buyer.
Marketing actions can have a vision of profitability in the short or long term, as its management is also making investments in the company’s relationship with customers, suppliers and even their own employees, as well as advertising in media. Do not confuse marketing and advertising, and marketing includes advertising and other issues.
It is said that marketing can have different orientations: the product (when the company has a monopoly in the market but, however, aims to improve the production process), thesales(Aimed at increasing the participation of the company in the segment) or market (looking for the adaptation of products to consumer tastes).
